Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Finance Assistant for a client based in Croyden. This is a full time, permanent job, in which you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the finance team. You will join a friendly and supportive team and benefit from remote working, although you must be accessible to the Croyden office when required.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Finance Assistant will be organised, accurate, and comfortable working with numbers and systems. Previous experience in a finance or accounting support job is essential. Experience in a legal or professional services environment is helpful. Key tasks will include …

  • Processing invoices, expenses, and payments
  • Supporting payment runs and reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry
  • Assisting with internal reporting and financial compliance tasks
  • Responding to finance-related queries from staff
  • Supporting credit control activity where needed
  • Assisting with audits and month-end processes
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team

 

Person Specification

The successful Finance Assistant will ideally …

  • Have previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping role
  • Be highly numerate and methodical, with strong attention to detail
  • Be confident using Excel plus financial and case management software (training provided)
  • Be organised and able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Be a proactive team player, willing to learn and adapt
