Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor with experience to join a successful team based in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be working alongside a thriving team, with progression opportunities. The role is a permanent position.

Role responsibilities

The incoming Family Solicitor will be part of a team of Family law specialists, who all handle their own caseload of varied matters across a number of offices. You will be responsible for progressing your own caseload of files including divorce and separation, financial issues arising out of family breakdown as well as children act and civil partnership matters.  Other issues such as pre-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, cohabitee agreements, domestic violence and family protection injunctions will also be covered. There is administration support, however the firm do use a case-management system and you are expected to be IT savvy.  

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or C.FILEx with a minimum of 2 years' experience of managing your own family caseload and be able to undertake advocacy, as you will be attending court on a regular basis.  Although this caseload is primarily for privately paying clients, an understanding of legal aid would be useful.
