Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Law Solicitor for a growing regional law firm's private family team in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. This full-time or part-time, permanent job offers a flexible salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, a bonus structure and flexible working opportunities. You will manage a varied privately funded caseload, with a particular focus on private children matters, supported by an established team and a steady flow of instructions. About the Job

The Family Law Solicitor will have responsibility for their own privately funded cases, working with colleagues on a broad range of family disputes. Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on divorce, separation and financial remedy proceedings.
• Handling private children matters, including child arrangements, relocation and specific issue applications.
• Managing cohabitation and property disputes and advising on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
• Providing clear, sensitive advice and representation to clients throughout their matters.
• Attending court and conducting advocacy where appropriate.
• Contributing to business development and the ongoing growth of the family practice.

About You

This Family Law Solicitor opportunity would suit a family lawyer who can run an independent caseload and is keen to build further expertise in private children law. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive with relevant family law experience.
• Experience managing a family law caseload with minimal supervision.
• An interest in private children matters alongside broader privately funded family work.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgement and a compassionate approach to client care.
• Confidence with court attendance and advocacy where appropriate.
• Commercial awareness, enthusiasm for business development and a collaborative working style.
• Applications are welcomed across PQE levels where the necessary skills and experience can be demonstrated.
