Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor to join an established Family team in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. This is a permanent job opportunity with two positions available, offering a varied caseload with a particular focus on divorce, financial remedies and matrimonial finances. The firm offers potential hybrid working, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional days for birthdays and Christmas, parking, pension and a clear opportunity to develop towards potential partnership level. 

Role Responsibilities 

This Family Solicitor job offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload within a busy team with an established client base. Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Advising clients on divorce and separation matters from initial instruction through to conclusion. 

  • Managing financial remedy proceedings and matrimonial finance matters. 

  • Advising on property and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown. 

  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients through court proceedings where required. 

  • Handling children matters where appropriate to the caseload. 

  • Undertaking Legal Aid work where appropriate. 

  • Managing your own caseload and providing clear, practical and empathetic advice throughout each matter. 

Person Specification 

You will be a qualified Family Solicitor with relevant experience and the confidence to manage your own work while contributing positively to the wider team. You should also be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Strong experience in divorce and financial matters. 

  • Experience of Legal Aid work, or a genuine interest in developing your experience in this area. 

  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills. 

  • A confident and empathetic approach to client care. 

  • The ability to work independently while working collaboratively with colleagues. 

  • Strong organisation and time-management skills. 

  • An interest in developing your Family law practice within a supportive and established team.
