Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded law firm in Derby, Derbyshire. This is a full time, permanent job position offering hybrid working with up to two days per week working remotely from home, a salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and excellent long term career progression and great transport links to the City centre. You will manage a varied caseload of high quality private family matters, including high net worth work, with paralegal and secretarial assistance. Role Responsibilities 

As a Family Solicitor in Derby, Derbyshire, you will take responsibility for your own mixed caseload of privately funded family law matters while working closely with the Partner of the team. Key responsibilities will include: 

• Managing a varied caseload of divorce, separation, financial remedy and private children matters 

• Advising on complex and high net worth family law matters and providing clear, practical guidance throughout 

• Conducting your own advocacy and attending the Family Court regularly 

• Taking responsibility for matters from initial instruction through to conclusion 

• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a sensitive, responsive and professional service 

• Working collaboratively with the wider family team and making effective use of the dedicated paralegal and secretarial support available 

Person Specification 

This opportunity would suit an experienced private family lawyer in Derby and the surrounding areas, who is confident managing a varied caseload with autonomy. You should also be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive 

• At least two years' post-qualified experience within private family law 

• Experience handling a broad range of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters 

• The ability to advise on complex or high net worth matters, or the ambition to develop further experience in this area 

• Confidence conducting own advocacy and attending Court 

• Strong client care, communication and organisational skills 

• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high quality legal advice
