Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded, modern and growing law firm in Alfreton, Derbyshire, easily commutable from Derby city centre and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, permanent job position working from the office and offers the autonomy to manage a varied caseload of private family law matters. The successful Family Solicitor will receive dedicated one to one legal assistant support, 25 days' holiday, a pension scheme, a bonus scheme, company events and ongoing training and development with a competitive salary up to £50,000. 

Role Responsibilities 

As a Family Solicitor in Alfreton, Derbyshire, you will take ownership of an established, high quality caseload covering a broad range of privately funded family law matters. You will have the autonomy to manage your work while benefiting from dedicated one to one legal assistant support. Key responsibilities will include: 

• Managing your own caseload of privately funded family law matters from initial instruction through to conclusion 

• Providing clear, practical and sensitive legal advice tailored to each client's circumstances 

• Undertaking advocacy and representing clients confidently where required 

• Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of client care 

• Managing files, deadlines and priorities effectively with the support of your dedicated legal assistant 

• Contributing positively to the continued development of the Family Law team across the firm 

Person Specification 

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with solid experience of managing privately funded family law work. The employer is ideally seeking someone with at least two years' post-qualified experience, although applications will be considered on individual merit. You should also be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Experience of independently managing a varied private family law caseload 

• Confidence in undertaking advocacy 

• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide clear, commercially aware advice 

• Excellent client care and communication skills, particularly when supporting people through sensitive circumstances 

• An organised and proactive approach to caseload management 

• The confidence to work with autonomy while collaborating effectively with colleagues and support staff
