This permanent, full-time Family Solicitor job is based in Northwich, Cheshire and offers a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience. Job Responsibilities
This Family Solicitor job in Northwich, Cheshire offers the opportunity to join a supportive and close-knit Family team handling a varied caseload with a strong emphasis on financial remedy work. The successful Family Solicitor will manage their own caseload while working closely with colleagues within a collaborative and community-focused environment.
- Extensive experience handling financial remedy matters within privately funded Family Law
- Managing a full caseload of family law matters including divorce, civil partnership disputes, separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptial agreements and TOLATA matters
- Experience conducting court advocacy and representing clients where appropriate
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent client care and communication
- Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and internal procedural standards
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
- Participating in networking, business development and wider firm initiatives
- Resolution accreditation, Law Society panel membership or working towards accreditation would be advantageous
- Knowledge of legal aid is preferred but not essential as training can be provided
Person Specification
The successful Family Solicitor will ideally have at least 5 years’ PQE and previous experience independently handling a varied family law caseload, with particular strength in financial remedies work.
You will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Proven experience handling privately funded family law matters
- Strong experience in financial remedy work
- Previous advocacy experience
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Resolution accreditation or panel membership would be advantageous
- Knowledge of legal aid is preferred but not essential
