Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established and growing law firm on a permanent, full-time basis in Solihull, West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and ambitious Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and supportive Family Law department, handling a varied caseload of both legal aid and privately funded matters while also playing a key role in the continued growth and development of the team.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload independently, provide expert legal advice across a broad range of family law matters, and support junior members of the department within a professional and collaborative environment. The firm offer a friendly and supportive working environment, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays, free local parking
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters from instruction through to resolution, including:
- Divorce and separation matters
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Cohabitation disputes
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
- Private children matters and child arrangements
- Advocacy at court hearings, mediations, and dispute resolution appointments
- Providing sensitive and practical legal advice to clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Assisting with the ongoing development and growth of the department
- Business development, networking, and building professional relationships
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory and file management procedures

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Family Law.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience managing a varied caseload of family law matters independently
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client care skills
- Experience handling complex financial and children matters
- A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive matters
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous
- Membership of Resolution, or willingness to obtain, would be beneficial
