Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Family Solicitor to join the growing Family department of a leading North West law firm. This is a permanent, full-time job based in Southport with hybrid working options and an excellent platform for growth. The incoming Family Solicitor, ideally at Associate level with at least 3 years PQE, will benefit from a varied caseload of privately funded work, ongoing business development opportunities and strong support from a reputable and award-winning firm. The Southport office offers a friendly, modern, and professional working environment with clear long-term potential.

 

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor with the ambition and experience to take ownership of developing the family offering at a well-established office. Working closely with senior leadership and a wider collaborative team, you’ll manage your own caseload and play a key role in expanding the firm’s presence in the Southport area.

You will be advising on:

  • Divorce and financial remedy work, including high-net-worth matters
  • Private law children proceedings
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Cohabitation issues and separation agreements

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all files efficiently, ensuring compliance with procedures and data regulations
  • Attend court, mediation sessions, and client meetings as needed
  • Work within a Case Management System (SOS) to ensure accurate and timely case progression
  • Support other team members and contribute to the firm's wider values and strategic aims
  • Drive business development through networking and building local relationships

 

About You

This Family Solicitor job is ideal for someone at Associate level who enjoys autonomy and thrives on building client relationships. You’ll be someone who relishes the challenge of business development and is motivated to contribute to the growth of a local office with support from a respected, multi-site law firm.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ideally 3+ years PQE in privately funded family law matters
  • Confidence in handling your own caseload independently
  • Commercial awareness and ability to win and grow client relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication
  • Strong IT skills and experience with Case Management Systems (preferably SOS)
  • Commitment to excellent client service and a flexible, team-focused approach
