The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Family Solicitor (2+ years PQE) for a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Stockport and/or Macclesfield. This role sits within a growing Family team and reports directly to the Department Head. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to manage a varied caseload independently while contributing to the continued development and success of the wider team. The role offers full-time hours of 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, along with a competitive salary and benefits package dependent on experience.

Job Responsibilities

As the Family Solicitor, you will manage the full spectrum of Family law matters, deliver high-quality legal services while making a strong commercial contribution to the group and maintaining exceptional standards of client care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a full caseload of Family law matters with minimal supervision
• Conducting matters in accordance with Lexcel standards, SRA Code of Conduct and internal risk management procedures
• Generating fee income and effectively managing time recording, WIP, billing and cash collection in line with agreed targets
• Supervising and supporting colleagues’ work when required, including providing cover during holidays and absences
• Taking an active role in business development opportunities on behalf of the team
• Participating in marketing activities at firm-wide, group or office level
• Attending clients in person and by telephone, providing a professional, friendly and high-quality client care service
• Managing correspondence and documentation via the case management system
• Maintaining accurate electronic and paper file management, including use of the P4W and Infotrack systems
• Attending and contributing to group and departmental meetings
• Developing new work from existing clients and seeking new clients for yourself and the wider team
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from Family Solicitors who are comfortable working autonomously and working collaboratively within a team.

To be successful in this Family Solicitor role, you will demonstrate:

• Admission as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years’ PQE in Family law
• Experience handling a broad range of Family matters
• Proven ability to manage files independently
• Experience supervising or supporting colleagues (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• A proactive, efficient and team-focused approach
• Confidence using case management systems and modern IT applications
