Eventus Legal Recruitment is working with an established law firm to recruit an experienced Family Solicitor with around 3-6 years PQE for a role in Camberley, Surrey. This is a full time, permanent position, offering some hybrid and flexible working, a competitive salary, and progression opportunities including into management. This role would suit an ambitious solicitor looking to develop their expertise in Family Law within a reputable firm that is undergoing a successful growth phase. On offer is a salary in the range of £50-65k (depending on experience), bonus scheme, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown, pension, social events running through the year, and tailored development and training plans to facilitate personal growth and progression.

Role Responsibilities

The Family Solicitor will be working out of the Camberley, Surrey office and you will play a key role in delivering high quality advice and service to clients, working on a 100% privately funded caseload. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing divorce matters from initial instruction through to settlement, providing clear guidance and robust representation throughout the process
• Handling complex financial remedy and settlement cases for divorces and separation agreements, including negotiation, disclosure management, and drafting final orders
• Managing civil partnership dissolution matters from initial advice through to final settlement, including associated financial and child arrangements
• Representing clients in private children matters, advising on contact, residence, arrangements and resolving disputes sensitively and effectively
• Drafting and advising on prenuptial agreements, ensuring terms are tailored to clients’ circumstances and legally robust
• Preparing and negotiating postnuptial agreements, offering strategic advice to protect clients long term financial interests
• Advising on cohabitation agreements and disputes, including asset division, property interests and financial claims on separation
• Advising on the variation and enforcement of existing financial and child related court orders, ensuring clients achieve practical and effective outcomes

Person Specification

The successful Family Solicitor candidate will demonstrate both technical excellence and a strong client service ethos. You will have:

• Qualified Solicitor (or Legal Executive) with 3-6 years PQE in Family Law, majority of experience will need to be within privately funded work
• Experienced at managing cases within divorces, financial settlements, separation agreements, civil partnership dissolution, children, pre and post nuptial agreements, cohabitation, and enforcement
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver clear, tailored legal advice, to provide the high levels of client care
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
• A proactive and commercial approach to perform business development activities such as attending occasional networking events in the local area
• Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including AML, KYC, and GDPR
