Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor with 5 years PQE to join an award winning firm based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is a full time, permanent job offering a competitive salary up to £70,000 and hybrid working. The successful Family Solicitor will work in a friendly, well established team, known for their down to earth approach and genuine commitment to helping their clients through life’s challenges. Their Family Law team is growing; therefore, as a result they are now looking for an experienced Family Solicitor to join them in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Role Responsibilities:
The incoming Family Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
- Divorce and Separation: Advising clients on the legal process, options, and implications of ending a marriage or civil partnership
- Financial Settlements: Assisting clients in reaching fair and legally sound arrangements regarding assets, property, and financial obligations
- Children Arrangements: Supporting clients in matters relating to child custody, visitation, and parental responsibilities
- Cohabitation Issues: Providing guidance on rights and obligations for unmarried couples, including property and financial claims
- Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements: Drafting and advising on agreements that protect clients’ interests before or after marriage
Person Specification:
The successful Family Solicitor will have strong family law experience with 5 years PQE, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to sensitive client matters. You should be confident managing cases independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues when required.
- A fully qualified solicitor with over 5 years’ PQE experience specialising in family law, including matters such as divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic abuse cases
- Proven track record of providing expert legal advice and achieving positive outcomes for client
- Confident in managing a full caseload independently, from initial client consultations to final resolution
- Skilled at building strong relationships with clients, guiding them through complex legal processes, and ensuring their cases progress efficiently and effectively
- Known for a compassionate and empathetic approach, particularly during sensitive or emotionally challenging situations. Able to communicate complex legal information clearly and sensitively, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and understood
- Driven by a genuine desire to positively impact clients’ lives during difficult times. Focused on delivering practical, tailored solutions while providing reassurance and guidance throughout the legal process
- Strong team ethic, valuing collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support within a legal team. Adaptable and approachable, contributing positively to a professional, client-focused workplace environment
