Role Responsibilities

The incoming Family Solicitor will take on an existing caseload of privately funded family law matters and be expected to run this independently within a collaborative team.

  • Managing a broad range of family law matters including divorce, finances, cohabitation and children law issues
  • Handling mainly private family work with limited Legal Aid cases
  • Utilising the Partner for Windows case management system in a paperless working environment
  • Providing practical legal advice and delivering excellent client service
  • Working self-sufficiently while liaising with support staff for file openings, new enquiries and appointments

Person Specification

This Family Solicitor job would suit someone with a confident, hands-on approach to managing their own caseload in a client-focused environment.

  • Ideally between 2–5 years PQE in family law, but all levels of experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a mixed family caseload independently
  • A proactive and positive “can-do” attitude
  • Experience in a paperless office and confidence with legal tech is advantageous
  • Able to thrive in a small, collaborative and supportive team setting
