Eventus Legal is seeking a motivated and experienced Family Solicitor based in Haslemere, Surrey. This fantastic job opportunity is within a well-respected law firm that has been a part of the local community for many years. Furthermore, they are recognised as a leading regional firm and due to the expansion of the team, looking to place a permanent Family Solicitor. Role responsibilities

The appointed experienced Family Solicitor will be expected to demonstrate a proven track record within family law and have an open and friendly approach with clients. You will confidently run your own caseload of private matters with the support of an NQ solicitor. Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Financial Remedy: Handle financial settlements and disputes, ensuring fair distribution of assets
  • Children Matters: Address custody and visitation issues, advocating for the best interests of the child
  • Pre-nuptial Agreements: Draft and review pre-nuptial agreements to protect clients' assets
  • Co-habitation Matters: Advise on legal rights and obligations for cohabiting couples, including property and financial matters
  • Divorce: Manage divorce proceedings, providing legal advice, and support throughout the process

Person specification

Applications are encouraged from qualified Family Solicitors who have +3 years of experience in handling a caseload of private family matters. Also, full-resolution membership is desirable. You will work independently but also have strong supervisory and management skills to help lead and guide the team effectively. Importantly, you will also be able to display: 

  • Outstanding client-facing service skills
  • Highly organisational abilities
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Good IT skills
  • A strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Strong business development skills to help the department grow and flourish
