Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the Family Law team of a highly reputable law firm based in the Lancaster. This is a permanent, full-time position, working on a varied caseload of private family matters, including divorce, financial remedy, and private children cases. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Family Solicitor or Legal Executive will handle a range of private family law cases, including divorce, financial remedy, and private children matters. The role also involves:
- Conducting advocacy in family courts
- Providing clear, concise advice to clients, ensuring excellent client care
- Working to Lexcel standards
- Managing a caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in family law and demonstrate the following:
- Proven track record of managing a family law caseload, including private children matters, divorce, and financial remedy cases
- Ability to meet billing and time recording targets consistently
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in straightforward terms
- Strong advocacy skills in family courts
- Organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
The following experience and qualifications would be advantageous but aren’t essential:
- Experience with TOLATA / Cohabitee cases
- Membership with Resolution
- Experience in international family law
- Law Society family or advanced family accreditation
