Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced and talented Family Solicitor/Executive to join an established and credible family law team based in Crossgates & Chapel Allerton, West Yorkshire. The role will involve developing and managing a caseload of privately funded matters including divorce and financial remedy work, separation, nuptial agreement, children’s arrangements and domestic violence cases. The role is suitable for an established Solicitor with extensive experience, and my client is looking for someone highly organised and methodical. This is a full time, permanent role offering a competitive salary up to £65,000 (dependent on experience), profit sharing scheme (tax free up to £3,600), 23 days holiday entitlement, pension scheme, life assurance, private health insurance, enhanced maternity/paternity, health cash plan to help with optical and dental appointments and regular social events throughout the year.

Role Responsibilities:

The incoming Family Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:

• Managing a varied caseload of client matters from initial instruction through to conclusion
• Handling cases at all stages, providing clear advice and support throughout the process
• Drafting legal documents including statements, applications, pleadings, and correspondence
• Responding to new client enquiries in a professional and client-focused manner
• Taking detailed instructions from clients and providing practical, tailored legal advice
• Representing clients at Court, including undertaking advocacy where appropriate
• Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate file documentation and case records
• Working closely with the central services team to support timely billing and recovery of outstanding fees
• Instructing Counsel, experts, and other third parties where required to progress matters effectively

Person Specification:

The successful Family Solicitor for the position based in our clients Crossgates and Chapel Allerton, West Yorkshire office will be a team player, with a strong work ethic.  Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work quickly and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met and our excellent client care standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Current Practising Certificate and at least 5 years PQE
• Able to deal with technical details and to express solutions to complex legal problems in a concise and client-friendly way
• Capability to present and argue a case orally in court and in writing
• Excellent spoken and written communication to deal with clients and other parties face to face, by telephone and in producing legal documents.
• Confident and up to date IT skills
• Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise work, under supervision, to meet clients’ expectations and matter deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure and to work on own initiative
