Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Paralegal to join a family law team based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This is a full-time, permanent job. Benefits include 26 days holiday allowance (rising with service), bonus scheme and employee healthcare plan.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Paralegal will be responsible for supporting both the care and private family teams. You will also be responsible for:
- Dealing with new client telephone enquiries
- Consideration of evidence and documents and coveting preparation notes
- Opening files and completing applications for public funding
- Attending client meetings
- Preparation of court documents including client statements, applications for expert instruction, drafting orders
Person Specification
Applications are sought from Paralegals or Legal Assistants with experience in care, private family matters, or both. You will also:
- Have excellent IT skills
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a professional telephone manner
- Be very organised
- Have a willingness to adapt
