Eventus Legal are seeking Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 PQE with experience in Employment Law to join a commercial firm based in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be working alongside experienced and highly regarded Solicitors within their Employment law team. The role is a permanent position.

Role responsibilities

The incoming Employment Solicitor will be expected to deliver legal support across a wide range of employment matters acting for both claimants and respondents in contentious and non-contentious matters. Your caseload may include, although will not be limited to:

• Draft and advise upon employment documentation, including contracts of employment, policies, disciplinary and grievances procedures, etc.
• Deal with all aspects of the employment / tribunal process, including drafting Grounds of Resistance, Particulars of Complaint, attend Preliminary Hearings, deal with case management steps, prepare witness statements and trial bundles.
• Liaise with company commercial and corporate departments with respect to employment issues associated with share and asset sales
• You will also be expected to represent the practice in external networking and business development opportunities including presentations and seminars.

Person specification

We are looking for qualified Employment Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 PQE with experience acting for both claimants and respondents in both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will have ability to find sound solutions to complex legal and employment issues. And crucially the successful candidate must have excellent client communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to achieving the best possible outcome for your client.
