Eventus Legal are seeking two Employment Solicitors to join the team at a specialist employment law practice in Manchester, Greater Manchester, one at 2 to 6 years' PQE and one at 7 years' PQE or more. These are permanent jobs offering a salary of £45,000 to £80,000 depending on experience with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a Royal London pension, a discretionary bonus and a discount company car scheme. The firm also offers hybrid working with 3 days at home and 2 days in the office. Each Employment Solicitor will take ownership of their own employment tribunal caseload for national corporate clients with many based in London and the NW. About the Role

These Employment Solicitor jobs are for people who want real ownership of their work. Each Employment Solicitor will run a busy caseload of employment tribunal claims from instruction through to hearing, advising corporate clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment law. Clients range from FTSE and New York listed businesses to owner-managed companies, and you will deal with them directly, including visits to their offices in London.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take ownership of your own caseload of employment tribunal claims, advocating at hearings through to conclusion
• Advise corporate clients on all aspects of employment law, from recruitment to termination
• Build and keep direct relationships with clients, visiting them in person where it helps
• Run your own files with minimal supervision and bring ideas on how to do things better
• Support and develop the more junior fee earners and the paralegal in the team
• Prepare tribunal bundles, witness statements and the paperwork behind your cases

About You

You will be an Employment Solicitor or Employment Lawyer with either 2 to 6 years' PQE or 7 years' PQE or more, and real tribunal advocacy experience.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Hands-on tribunal experience, actively running claims and appearing at hearings
• Confidence working autonomously and managing your own caseload
• A proactive approach, using your initiative without waiting to be asked
• The ability to build relationships with corporate clients and handle them directly
• Honesty, a down-to-earth manner and the personality to fit a small, close team

At 7 years' PQE or more, the job suits someone who wants more autonomy and a long-term home. Bringing clients with you is welcome but not required.

The team is four fee earners plus admin support, working in one open-plan office alongside a friendly property law firm, and several of the people have been there for most of a decade or longer.
