Eventus Legal are seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor / Associate (4+ PQE) to join a well-established and growing commercial law firm on a permanent, full-time basis in Birmingham, West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a supportive and collaborative Employment team advising a broad range of employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Role Responsibilities
The Senior Employment Solicitor / Associate will play a key role within the Employment department, managing a varied caseload while supporting clients across a wide range of employment law matters.
You will work closely with colleagues across the wider business and contribute to maintaining high standards of client service and legal expertise.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
- Managing a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Advising employer clients on disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to resolution
- Advising on discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal matters
- Supporting clients with redundancy and restructuring processes
- Providing employment support on corporate transactions
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, handbooks and workplace policies
- Delivering practical HR and employment law advice to clients on day-to-day matters
- Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering commercially focused advice
- Supporting business development and networking initiatives where appropriate
- Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior team members
Person Specification
The successful Senior Employment Solicitor / Associate will have strong experience managing employment law matters independently and will enjoy working within a collaborative and commercially focused team environment.
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors and Legal Executives with approximately 4 years’ PQE or above in Employment Law.
You will also demonstrate:

- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A practical and commercial approach to legal advice
