Eventus Legal are seeking an Employment Solicitor to join a progressive and growing law firm on a permanent, full-time basis in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to play a key role in developing and expanding the firm’s employment law offering while managing a varied and interesting caseload.

Role Responsibilities
The incoming Employment Solicitor will be responsible for managing a broad employment caseload while supporting the continued growth and development of the department. You will also contribute to business development initiatives and work closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver a high standard of client service.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
- Handling a broad range of employment law matters including both contentious and non-contentious matters
- Advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues across a variety of sectors
- Supporting the continued development and expansion of the firm’s employment law offering
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through commercially focused legal advice
- Contributing to business development initiatives, networking activities and wider marketing efforts
- Collaborating with colleagues across different departments to deliver a seamless client service
- Assisting with employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions where required
- Monitoring departmental workflows, caseload allocation and resourcing requirements to maintain service standards
- Using financial and case management systems to oversee performance, budgeting and billing forecasts
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
Person Specification
The successful Employment Solicitor will have previous experience handling a broad range of employment law matters and will be confident managing their own caseload independently.
In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Qualified Solicitor or equivalent
- Ideally 5years plus PQE within employment law
- Strong technical knowledge across contentious and non-contentious employment matter
- Commercially minded with strong business development skill
