Eventus Legal are seeking an Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the expanding Employment team of a Legal 500 firm with offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a diverse caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters with the flexibility to be based in either the Preston or Manchester office. The role comes with an attractive salary of between £36000 - £75,000 and a host of benefits including Private Health Care, 25 days annual leave, life cover and well-being perks to name a few, all within a progressive and supportive working environment.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Employment Solicitor will work on a broad range of employment matters for both claimant and respondent clients. The role also involves:
- Managing a caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment law files
- Conducting tribunal advocacy or working with counsel
- Providing strategic advice to clients across a variety of sectors
- Contributing to business development activities and attending networking events
- Supporting the ongoing growth and success of the Employment team
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years’ experience handling a caseload of employment matters. You will be confident managing your own caseload and can deliver excellent client service. You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Strong technical ability across a wide range of employment law matters
- Excellent client care and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and organised approach to managing work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in networking and building a professional profile
Additional desirable experience:
- Tribunal advocacy experience
- Experience working with both claimant and respondent clients
- Strong business development mindset
