Eventus Legal are seeking a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join a successful law firm based in Doncaster. This is a permanent, full-time role. Benefits include a generous call out bonus, long service awards and a rising holiday allowance.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Criminal Defence Solicitor will be responsible for dealing with a wide-ranging caseload of Criminal files under the firms Legal Aid contract from initial caution through to case conclusion in either Magistrates or Crown Courts. These include but not limited to minor offences up to charges carrying life sentences.
There will be an expectation to join the firms Duty Rota and attend Police Stations out of hours.
Person Specification
The incoming Criminal Defence Solicitor will have excellent knowledge of Criminal Law and experience in running their own caseload. Importantly, the candidate will also be able to display:
- Duty Solicitor Status
- Strong Advocacy Skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise your workload within the required timescales.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent PC/keyboard skills
