About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join a well-established and growing team recognised for delivering exceptional client care. The successful candidate will manage a varied and complex caseload while playing a key part in the continued development of the department. Alongside high-quality legal work, the Court of Protection Solicitor will have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues, build professional relationships and contribute to the future success of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a complex caseload of Court of Protection matters involving property and financial affairs
- Leading on deputyship applications, contested Court of Protection proceedings and statutory will matters
- Providing specialist advice on mental capacity, best interests and safeguarding issues
- Supporting the ongoing development and growth of the Court of Protection team through networking and business development activities
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees within the department
- Building strong professional relationships with clients, families, medical professionals, case managers and other stakeholders
- Overseeing deputyship administration, reporting requirements and financial management responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, risk management and client care across all matters

- Qualified Solicitor with substantial experience handling Court of Protection matters
