Eventus Legal are recruiting for a Court of Protection Partner (Property & Affairs) to join the Court of Protection team of a successful, growing, regional law firm, from their head office in Darlington, County Durham. This is a permanent position offered either full-time or 4 days per week. Benefits include relocation allowance of up to £15,000, hybrid working, 30 days holiday plus your birthday and Christmas closure as additional leave, bonus and private healthcare.  

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Court of Protection Partner (Property & Affairs) will be joining a team of 4 fee-earners and 2 support staff. Personally, you will deal with a varied caseload of professional deputyship cases, complex Court of Protection applications and the creation and administration of personal injury trusts. You will support this successful and growing team and take responsibility for business development and growing the client base.

The role comes with a top-of-market salary and the opportunity to step up into a rewarding role as Partner and future head of the team due to succession planning.

Person Specification

Applications are sought from experienced Solicitors with a strong background in Court of Protection (Property & Affairs), either at Grade A and experienced as a professional deputy, or those at 5PQE+ years’ PQE wishing to take a graduated step up into this role. Financial knowledge would be advantageous as you will be managing clients’ financial affairs totalling many millions in assets and income.
