Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join a Legal 500-recognised and expanding law firm based in Chester, Cheshire. Role Responsibilities

This Corporate & Commercial Solicitor job is ideal for someone ready to take on a diverse, high-quality caseload with the autonomy to manage files independently. The incoming Corporate & Commercial Solicitor will work across a broad range of matters, supporting a variety of clients from SMEs to larger corporations across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on company formations, corporate restructures, M&A transactions and shareholder agreements.
• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including terms and conditions, service agreements, NDAs and more.
• Supporting corporate transactions from initial instruction to post-completion.
• Assisting clients with commercial legal risk and compliance matters.
• Leading or assisting in due diligence and disclosure processes.
• Working collaboratively with other departments within the firm to deliver a seamless service.
• Taking an active role in business development, including attending networking events, contributing to marketing campaigns, and developing client relationships.

Person Specification

Applications are sought from experienced Solicitors with at least 2 years’ PQE (not NQ) in Corporate or Commercial Law. This Corporate & Commercial Solicitor job will suit someone who enjoys client interaction, has commercial awareness and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

• Between 2–5 years PQE in either corporate, commercial or a mix of both.
• Confidence working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to work across both corporate and commercial disciplines.
• Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
• Commercial acumen and a proactive, client-focused approach.
• Enthusiasm for marketing, business development and building long-term client relationships.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
