Eventus Legal are hiring for a Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join a successful and specialised law firm based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. This is a permanent, full-time role. Benefits include continuous training (CIPD), hybrid working and 25 days holiday allowance rising annually.

Role Responsibilities 

The successful Corporate Commercial Solicitor will be involved in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Matters include but not limited to mergers, acquisitions and disposals, investment and fundraising, joint ventures and profit-sharing arrangements, supply of goods and service agreements, terms and conditions, NDAs, banking and finance, charities and not for profit.

The job role will include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the directors and junior members of staff on various corporate and commercial transactional matters.
  • Lead transactions and negotiate and advise clients on a variety of matters, including share and asset disposals, management buyouts, shareholders agreements and various commercial contracts.
  • Work alongside the directors and marketing team to play a key role in developing and implementing the firm’s growth strategy in its chosen markets.
  • Manage your own client portfolio with the support of the directors and junior members of staff and win new clients through internal and external networking and marketing.

Person Specification 

As the incoming Corporate Commercial Solicitor, you will have good technical and communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across the firm. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ post qualifying experience.  

Importantly, you will also be able to display: 

  • Strong technical abilities and a track record of advising on and leading M&A deals up to £10million.
  • Confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work comfortably on your own as well as with the support of the managing director and support staff.
  • Being a team player and will be able to motivate and inspire others.

About the Company  

Our client was founded in 2019, is the dedicated and standalone legal services arm of a Top 40 Chartered accountants’ firm. They are one of the first multi-regional, medium sized accountants’ firm who are licensed to provide legal services by the SRA.  The firm have multiple offices throughout the UK including Lincoln, Cambridge and London and they were shortlisted in the Insider dealmakers’ awards in 2021. Their new Corporate Commercial Solicitor will be working within a team of experienced and commercially minded Lawyers.
