Eventus Legal are recruiting for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join the property department of an established and highly regarded law firm based in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This permanent position offers the opportunity to join an experienced team handling a quality caseload of residential property work within a supportive and modern working environment. The firm offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements (either full time or part time hours) and is keen to speak with Conveyancing Solicitors who are looking for a long-term opportunity with genuine career prospects and the chance to become an integral part of a growing team.

About the Role

As a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, you will take responsibility for managing a broad range of residential property transactions, providing practical advice and exceptional client service throughout each stage of the process.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a busy caseload of residential conveyancing files from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion formalities
  • Advising clients on a range of property matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
  • Reviewing title documentation and carrying out detailed title investigations
  • Preparing and reviewing contracts, transfer deeds and completion documents
  • Raising enquiries and responding to enquiries from other parties in a timely manner
  • Liaising regularly with clients, estate agents, brokers and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently
  • Conducting due diligence and ensuring all compliance obligations are satisfied
  • Managing anti-money laundering requirements and source of funds checks
  • Identifying potential risks and resolving issues to avoid delays in transactions
  • Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the wider team
  • Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and conveyancing practice
