Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Manager to join a successful and growing Residential Property team based in Billingham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Manager, Residential Conveyancing Team Leader or Senior Conveyancing Supervisor looking to step away from managing a substantial personal caseload whilst remaining closely involved in technical conveyancing and leadership.

Role Responsibilities

This Conveyancing Manager job offers the opportunity to take ownership of leadership, quality and operational performance within a busy residential conveyancing environment. You will play a central part in maintaining high standards of technical delivery whilst supporting a collaborative and high-performing team.

The incoming Conveyancing Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing and supporting a team of 5 fee earners alongside multiple support staff within the wider residential property function
  • Conducting monthly file reviews and quality assurance across approximately 15 fee earners throughout the business
  • Providing technical oversight and guidance on residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers and related transactions
  • Supporting the development and performance of Residential Conveyancers and Conveyancing Assistants through coaching and mentoring
  • Stepping into files where required for technical input without maintaining a large personal caseload
  • Ensuring compliance, consistency and excellent client service standards across the conveyancing department
  • Supporting process improvements and driving efficiencies through use of legal technology and case management systems including LEAP (experience highly desirable)
  • Working closely with senior leadership to support continued growth and operational success within the Billingham office

Person Specification

Applications are sought from experienced Conveyancing Managers, Senior Residential Conveyancers, Licensed Conveyancers, Solicitors, Legal Executives or Residential Property professionals with strong technical expertise who are looking to move into, or continue within, a people management and quality-focused position.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Significant experience within residential conveyancing and property transactions
  • Strong technical knowledge across residential property law and conveyancing processes
  • Experience leading, supervising or mentoring fee earners and support teams would be highly advantageous
  • Confidence conducting file audits, file reviews and maintaining compliance standards
  • Experience using LEAP case management software would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support colleagues
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to improving processes and client experience
  • A genuine interest in developing teams whilst maintaining exceptional service delivery
