Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a law firm in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Job Responsibilities
As the incoming Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide support to fee earners within a busy Residential Conveyancing department, assisting with matters from instruction through to completion. This Conveyancing Assistant job will suit someone who enjoys client contact, has excellent organisational skills and is looking to build a long-term career within conveyancing.
Your daily job duties and responsibilities will include:
• Liaising with clients, providing updates and taking accurate messages
• Drafting contracts and obtaining Land Registry documentation for sale transactions
• Replying to enquiries and assisting with ongoing conveyancing matters
• Conducting Land Registry searches
• Assisting clients with queries relating to the conveyancing process
• Working daily on a case management system
• Completing ID verification and AML procedures
• Responding to enquiries from third parties
• Preparing completion statements
• Maintaining organised and accurate paper and electronic files
• Ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded on the case management system
• Meeting with clients to review and complete documentation where required
Person Specification
The successful Conveyancing Assistant will possess strong communication skills and be confident dealing directly with clients throughout the conveyancing process.
In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:
• Previous experience within a conveyancing environment
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
• Experience using case management systems would be advantageous
• Professional and confident communication skills
• A proactive and team-focused approach to work
• Understanding of client onboarding, ID verification and AML procedures would be beneficial
