Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm on a permanent, full-time basis based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Role Responsibilities
As a Conveyancing Assistant you will provide support and assistance to the Conveyancing department and wider team members, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while delivering a responsive and professional service to clients.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
- Preparing legal documentation and supporting paperwork for residential property transactions
- Managing correspondence relating to property sales and purchases
- Assisting with the progression of conveyancing files from instruction through to completion
- Reviewing title documentation and supporting fee earners with enquiries raised during transactions
- Coordinating property searches and communicating outcomes to clients where required
- Obtaining financial and mortgage-related documentation to support transactions
- Assisting with lender requirements and preparing reports on mortgage matters
- Carrying out compliance checks including identification and source of funds verification
- Supporting the exchange and completion process to ensure transactions progress efficiently
- Maintaining regular communication with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
- Preparing completion packs and assisting with post-completion administration
- Handling Land Registry applications and associated post-completion matters
- Supporting the preparation and submission of SDLT documentation
Person Specification
The successful Conveyancing Assistant will have previous experience within a conveyancing or residential property environment (either as a Secretary or Assistant) and will be confident supporting fee earners with a varied caseload.
