Eventus Legal Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a highly regarded and well established law firm based in Bromley, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential property professional who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and structured environment. The role offers a salary of £28,000 to £34,000 depending on experience, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional time at Christmas, and structured training with study support towards qualification based on satisfactory performance.

The Conveyancing Assistant in Bromley, Kent will play a key role in supporting fee earners and managing elements of residential property files from instruction through to completion. Role Responsibilities

The Conveyancing Assistant will be based in Bromley, Kent and will support residential property transactions. The day to day responsibilities within this role include:

  • Assisting with managing a caseload of residential conveyancing files including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients, estate agents, and lenders
  • Drafting contracts and raising enquiries with supervision
  • Reviewing searches and preparing completion statements
  • Ensuring compliance with anti money laundering regulations
  • Maintaining accurate records on the case management system
  • Assisting with post completion matters
  • Supporting fee earners and Partners to ensure smooth progression of transactions

Person Specification

The successful Conveyancing Assistant in Bromley, Kent will have previous experience working within a residential property team and will be motivated to develop their career further. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:

  • Experience supporting residential conveyancing transactions
  • Worked on purchase, sales, leasehold, and freehold matters
  • Knowledge of shared ownership, right to buy, new builds, auctions, leasehold extensions, unregistered land, transfers of equity, and limited company transactions
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
  • Good IT skills including experience using case management systems
  • A proactive and team focused approach
