Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join the award-winning Property team of a forward-thinking law firm in Clitheroe. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working and a strong emphasis on career development. About the Job
As the incoming Conveyancing Assistant, you will be supporting a thriving property team by providing efficient and professional administrative support. You will assist fee earners in delivering outstanding client service and maintaining high compliance standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- File opening, ID checks, matter closures and archiving using the case management system
- Drafting contracts, preparing SDLT forms and Land Registry applications
- Monitoring and maintaining file compliance in line with internal and external regulations
- Liaising with clients and third parties, including call handling on behalf of the team
- Producing accurate documents, copies and scans as required
- Managing billing processes and interacting with Finance
- Updating the case management system and contributing to ongoing process improvement
About You
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Legal Secretary or Administrator who has previously working in a Residential Conveyancing team. You’ll be an organised and motivated individual who is looking to thrive in a successful law firm.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience supporting a residential conveyancing department
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the initiative to work independently
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to following procedures
- Proficiency in IT systems, ideally including case management software
