Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join a friendly and growing law firm based in Middlesbrough. This is a permanent, full-time job offering up to £27,500 with genuine career progression into a Junior Fee-Earner position. You will benefit from close mentorship from the Director, excellent support and supervision, a bonus scheme for future fee-earners, free on-site parking, and extended paid time off over Christmas. Role Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving conveyancing team during an exciting period of growth. The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will have the opportunity to develop into a junior fee-earner and take on their own small caseload under close supervision. Key duties will include:

• Supporting experienced conveyancers with a busy caseload of residential sales and purchases.
• Preparing legal documents, managing case files, and liaising with clients, estate agents and third parties.
• Using the Leap case management system to progress files effectively.
• Assisting with the administrative duties necessary to ensure transactions run smoothly.
• With support and training, gradually transitioning into managing a small caseload with one-to-one mentoring from a Director.

Person Specification

The ideal Conveyancing Assistant will be ambitious and proactive, with a strong desire to become a Residential Conveyancer. Experience supporting residential conveyancing matters is essential. You will also:

• Have prior experience in a conveyancing support position (minimum 2 years)
• Be eager to progress into a fee-earning job and manage your own caseload.
• Demonstrate strong IT skills; knowledge of Leap is desirable but not essential.
• Thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Be highly organised, client-focused, and able to work independently with guidance.
