Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a thriving and well-regarded residential property department based in Yarm, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent, full-time job with contracted hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £26,000, strong training and support, and genuine opportunities for career development within an established conveyancing team.
Role Responsibilities
This is a varied Conveyancing Assistant job within a busy and growing team. The successful Conveyancing Assistant will work alongside experienced conveyancers and play a key role in supporting the department's smooth operation.
Duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners across a wide range of residential conveyancing matters
- Opening new files and accurately inputting information into the case management system
- Preparing client care packs and providing quotes for conveyancing services
- Carrying out anti-money laundering checks and ID verifications
- Assisting with registrations, completions and post-completion processes
- Handling telephone enquiries and updating clients and third parties such as estate agents
- Supporting with digital dictation and document preparation
Person Specification
Applications are welcomed from individuals with prior experience in legal or administrative support, particularly within a residential conveyancing environment. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
You will also have:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence in dealing with clients, estate agents and solicitors
- Good IT skills, ideally including familiarity with legal case management systems
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive and professional approach with a willingness to learn
