Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join a successful and growing legal practice in Darlington, County Durham. This is a full-time, permanent job working 35 hours per week with flexible working hours. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Residential Conveyancing Assistant will be supporting a busy Residential Property department, providing essential assistance to a Solicitor within a team setting. You will play a vital role in delivering excellent service to clients and ensuring smooth case progression. You will:
- Assist with the management of caseloads including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfer of equity matters
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other third parties both in person and via phone
- Provide full administrative support including preparing documentation, correspondence, and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Verify client identification in line with AML procedures
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and manage documents from all parties involved
- Maintain file integrity and ensure compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements
Person Specification

- Experience working in a residential conveyancing or property-related role (legal, mortgage, estate agency, or IFA) is essential
- High level of written and verbal communication skills

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities
