Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Conveyancing team of a respected and highly reputable law firm in Preston. This is a permanent, full-time job working with a friendly and supportive team. Located in Preston, the office is easily accessible and offers a positive and collaborative working environment. About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy and well-regarded Residential Conveyancing department in Preston. You will be providing essential support to fee earners and helping ensure that clients’ matters are progressed efficiently and professionally.

Key responsibilities of the Legal Assistant job include:

  • Liaising with clients and third parties such as referrers, lenders, agents and solicitors
  • Carrying out searches and preparing documents including transfer deeds and SDLT forms
  • Handling straightforward matters under supervision and assisting in file progression
  • Managing registrations and post-completion work
  • Supporting daily file management and solicitor diaries

 

About You

To be successful in this Conveyancing Assistant job, you will need to demonstrate prior experience supporting conveyancers or working within a conveyancing team, ideally for at least one year.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Excellent client care and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proficient IT skills and comfort using case management systems
  • A collaborative, proactive and supportive approach to team working
