Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a busy and long standing and dynamic Residential Conveyancing department in Shirebrook, Derbyshire. This is a permanent, full time Conveyancing opportunity that offers exposure to a high quality, low volume caseload. Role Responsibilities
As an experienced Residential Conveyancer you will be joining one of Derbyshire’s most highly regarded and long standing law firms. This Conveyancing role will suit an ambitious fee earner (solicitor, legal executive or CLC), who is able to manage an autonomous caseload and be confident in building relationships with clients.
Specific duties will include:
- Manage a full caseload of residential and commercial sale, purchase, remortgage, transfer of equity, leasehold and freehold matters
- Draft contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements and other legal documents
- Review title documents, leases, searches and supporting paperwork for accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with estate agents, lenders, brokers, surveyors, solicitors and local authorities.
- Submit SDLT forms and register completed transactions with the Land Registry.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, CQS standards, AML regulations, trust registration and internal policies
- Supervise administrative staff and paralegals as required
You will also benefit from dedicated legal assistant support to enable you to ensure that every transaction runs as smoothly as possible and you can focus on a high level of client care.
Person Specification
Applications are sought from experienced and confident Residential Conveyancers (Solicitors, Legal Executives of Licensed Conveyancers) in Shirebrook, Derbyshire who have demonstrative experience within residential conveyancing
You will also have:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience within residential conveyancing
- Be a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer (CLC)
- Prior experience managing a busy and varied residential conveyancing caseload
- Experienced in leasehold and freehold transactions
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident and able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and third parties
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Confident IT user with experience of case management systems.
