Eventus Legal are seeking a Conveyancer (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Fee Earner) to join a well-established, small law firm based in Durham, County Durham. This is a permanent job offered on a full-time basis, with flexibility over working hours and the opportunity for hybrid working / remote working where required. Role Responsibilities

As a Conveyancer, you will manage a varied and interesting caseload across the full spectrum of residential conveyancing transactions. This job offers the opportunity to work closely with clients in a personable, client-focused environment, without the pressure of excessive volume.

• Handling a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
• Managing files from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision
• Dealing with both freehold and leasehold transactions
• Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
• Maintaining excellent client care standards, reflecting the firm’s strong local reputation
• Liaising with estate agents, lenders and other third parties to ensure smooth progression of transactions

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from Conveyancers, Residential Property Solicitors, Legal Executives, Licensed Conveyancers or highly experienced non-qualified fee earners with a strong background in conveyancing.

• Proven experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with a personable and approachable manner
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail
• A team-oriented approach, suited to a small, close-knit law firm environment
