Role Responsibilities
The Conveyancer will be based in Sevenoaks, Kent and will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of property matters, mainly residential with some commercial cases. The day to day responsibilities within this role include:
- Providing quotes for new prospective clients
- Handling all compliance and onboarding elements for new client matters
- Dealing with administrative and general tasks arising from property transactions including preparation of invoices, correspondence with clients, drafting reports, and finalising completion payments
- Managing your own caseload as efficiently and profitably as possible
- Reporting progress to clients in a timely and succinct manner
- Assisting other members of the Sevenoaks property team during annual leave
- Seeking to attract new clients, referrers, and business for the firm and department
- Supporting the development of the property department
- Preparing and attending marketing events and drafting articles or presentations for the local community and business network
- Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as requested by senior management
Person Specification
The successful Conveyancer in Sevenoaks, Kent will have previous experience managing a residential property caseload with appropriate supervision and will be confident delivering a high standard of client care.
In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing matters
- Commercial property experience would be beneficial however is not essential
- Experience handling sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
- The ability to organise your own workload with minimal supervision
- Good time management and a proactive approach to progressing matters
- Sound judgement and decision making when dealing with issues arising on files
- The ability to identify problems and determine an appropriate course of action
- A collaborative and supportive approach to working within a team
