Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join a forward-thinking and tech-savvy law firm in Darlington, County Durham. This is a permanent, full-time job offering hybrid working (circa 2 days per week remote working), flexible working hours and a collaborative, low-volume caseload environment. You will be supported by experienced admin staff and enjoy a genuinely people-focused workplace. Role Responsibilities
The successful Residential Conveyancer will manage their own caseload of residential property matters, supported by strong administrative infrastructure and working alongside a highly regarded property team. You will benefit from an emphasis on quality service and client care over volume.
- Manage a caseload of residential transactions including sales, purchases, leasehold, buy-to-let, right to buy, new build, re-mortgages and transfers of equity
- Draft and review legal documentation in line with industry and regulatory standards
- Liaise effectively with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors
- Ensure proactive and timely progression of files towards completion
- Maintain high standards of file management and regulatory compliance
- Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and support wider business development
Person Specification
We welcome applications from qualified Solicitors, Licenced Conveyancers or Chartered Legal Executives with experience in residential conveyancing, or those highly experienced who are not formally qualified. The incoming Residential Conveyancer will be client-focused and proactive.
- Proven experience of managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working with IT systems and case management software
- A solutions-driven, collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
- Must live within reasonable commuting distance to Darlington, County Durham (as some office attendance is required weekly)
