Eventus Legal is seeking a Conveyancer to join a highly regarded regional law firm. The firm is easily commutable from several areas including Dorking, Reigate, Epsom and Guildford. This is a permanent, full-time job with a reputable, family-run law firm who are renowned for providing exceptional legal services to an impressive client base. Role Responsibilities

The incoming Conveyancer will join a successful law firm who specialise in providing advice and assistance to clients in residential and commercial conveyancing. With a commitment to excellence and a client-centric approach, you will be responsible for providing high quality legal services tailored to meet individual client needs.

Your duties within this Conveyancer role will include:

  • Delivering advice, legal research, delegating fee earning work undertaken by colleagues, updating costs information, and time recording
  • Opening, advising, progressing, and closing client matters and all associated tasks
  • Dealing with enquiries and winning work, providing estimates and following up leads
  • Raising the profile of the firm to attract new enquiries through networking, building and maintaining professional relationships and dealing with complaints, supporting strategic aims of the practice
  • Training other members of staff, as well as undertaking own training and maintaining your development plan and record

Person Specification

The incoming Conveyancer will ideally be a qualified Solicitor, preferably within a reputable law firm or legal department. However, we also welcome applications from individuals with extensive Conveyancing experience.
You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of handling residential and/or commercial conveyancing cases
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Approachable, collaborative and resilient
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and to progress cases without supervision
  • Ability to handle a wide range of clients and to manage their expectations
  • Ability to work on own initiative, exercising independent judgment and decision making
