Eventus Legal is seeking a Construction Solicitor to join an ambitious and progressive law firm that provides their clients with high-quality tailored advice and solutions based in Dublin. This is a permanent full-time position. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Construction Solicitor will be interested in developing a new and expanding team. Clients include developers, investors, subcontractors, funders, suppliers and insolvency practitioners. Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Advising on both transactional and contentious matters.
- Advising on standard form and bespoke construction contracts.
- Managing client engagements with minimal, but supportive, supervision.
- Drafting and negotiating development agreements, professional appointments, collateral warranties and ancillary project documents.
- Dealing with all types of dispute resolution processes, including adjudication, conciliation, mediation, court proceedings and arbitration.
Person Specification
The incoming Construction Solicitor will have experience in handling a varied caseload, with between 2 -6 years' PQE. The firm will also consider those who have related experience in commercial litigation or property and are open to a change in practice area. You must be professional, approachable, and have the drive to succeed. Desirably your skills and experience must cover:
- Being commercially focused and pragmatic in your service delivery
- A genuine interest in construction law, practice and industry
- Being technically accomplished, collaborative and solution-focused
- The ability to work on their own initiative, and as part of a team
- The ability to prioritise and focus on solutions
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly manner
- Interest in pro bono is a plus
- Enthusiasm for business development
- A growth mindset
