Eventus Legal is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor with 2 to 5 years PQE to join an entrepreneurial and growing law firm in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. This is a full time, permanent job offering a salary of £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with up to two remote days working from home after an initial office based onboarding period, healthcare scheme, regular pay reviews, and a performance related bonus scheme paying up to 20% of billings. In addition, there is a clear opportunity to progress towards becoming Head of Department while developing a commercial property practice supported by an existing SME client base and wider business development opportunities.

About the Job

This Commercial Property Solicitor job offers ownership of a varied caseload and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the firm's wider business focused practice. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a broad commercial property caseload with an appropriate degree of autonomy.
• Advising on landlord and tenant matters and negotiating commercial leases and associated documentation.
• Handling acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
• Advising on development and investment property matters.
• Supporting the property aspects of corporate acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations.
• Working with the firm's corporate and dispute resolution teams on transactions and disputes involving commercial property.
• Developing work from the firm's existing SME client base while taking part in networking, marketing and business development activity.
• Building strong relationships with business owners, investors, developers, landlords, tenants and other commercial clients.
• Delegating appropriate work to paralegals and trainee solicitors and contributing to the development of the wider team.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the commercial property practice with scope to progress towards Head of Department.

Your Skills and Experience

• 2 to 5 years PQE as a solicitor with a solid grounding in commercial property work.
