Role Responsibilities
This Commercial Property Solicitor position will involve managing a varied caseload and providing practical, commercially focused advice to business clients. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial property transactions from initial instruction through to completion and file closure
- Advising clients clearly and professionally by telephone, correspondence and in meetings
- Handling commercial property finance matters and associated transactional documentation
- Developing, organising and managing your own caseload to appropriate professional and service standards
- Reviewing transaction documents, identifying relevant issues and providing clear legal advice
- Maintaining accurate case files, effective diary management and appropriate client communication throughout matters
- Responding to new enquiries and requests for quotations in a professional and timely manner
- Building strong client and professional relationships and contributing to networking and business development activity
- Keeping up to date with developments in commercial property law and maintaining professional competence through relevant learning and development
Person Specification
Applications are invited from qualified Solicitors with post-qualification experience in commercial property and the ability to manage matters with appropriate independence. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales
- Post-qualification experience handling commercial property work
- A thorough understanding of the law and practice relevant to commercial property transactions
- Experience reviewing transactional documents and identifying the information needed to advise clients effectively
- Strong client care, communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident and professional telephone and personal manner
- The ability to organise and prioritise a varied caseload effectively
- A calm and practical approach when working under pressure or to transaction deadlines
- An interest in developing professional relationships and supporting networking and business development activity
