Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor 5+ years PQE to join a well-established law firm in Newark, Nottinghamshire. This is a full-time, permanent and office based job offering a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, free on-site parking, career development and company social events. The Commercial Property Solicitor will handle a high quality varied caseload combining agricultural property work with general commercial property matters. 

Role Responsibilities 

The Commercial Property Solicitor in Newark, Nottinghamshire will manage a varied caseload covering agricultural work and broader commercial property matters, with responsibility for progressing files independently and maintaining a high standard of client service. You will also benefit from dedicated paralegal support and have a Senior Partner to support and champion your development. 

• Managing an individual caseload of agricultural and general commercial property matters including freehold and leasehold properties, Landlord and Tenant, dilapidations and rent recovery and leases and renewals  

• Progressing transactions efficiently from initial instruction through to completion 

• Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients 

• Drafting and reviewing the legal documentation required across the caseload 

• Maintaining accurate files and working in accordance with the firm's Lexcel and relevant quality standards 

• Building strong professional relationships and contributing positively to the wider property team 

Person Specification 

Applications are welcomed from experienced Commercial Property solicitors in Newark, Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas who are confident in handling commercial property files with a high degree of autonomy. You should also be able to demonstrate the following: 

• A minimum of five years' PQE experience in commercial property law 

• The ability to run a varied caseload independently and manage competing priorities 

• Agricultural law or agricultural property experience would be advantageous 

• Strong drafting, communication and client care skills 

• A thorough and organised approach to file management and quality standards 

• The drive to develop professionally and contribute to the continued success of the team
