The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor (5+ years PQE) to join a highly reputable Legal 500 law firm based in Stockport. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a well-established and growing Commercial Property team, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Property. Role Responsibilities
As the Commercial Property Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of commercial property matters from inception through to completion, working with minimal supervision and supporting the wider team where required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of commercial property matters independently, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters, bank funding and pension purchases
- Conducting matters in accordance with Lexcel standards, SRA Code of Conduct and the firm’s quality and risk management procedures
- Generating fee income and effectively managing time recording, WIP, billing and cash collection in line with agreed targets
- Supervising and supporting colleagues’ work when required, including providing cover during holidays and absences
- Taking an active role in business development, marketing and networking initiatives on behalf of the team and firm
- Building, maintaining and nurturing strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional contacts
- Attending clients in person and by telephone, delivering a professional and high-quality client care service
- Managing correspondence and documentation via the firm’s case management system
- Maintaining accurate file management in line with office procedures, including electronic and paper files
- Attending and contributing to team and group meetings
- Supporting the growth of new work from existing clients and developing new client relationships
Person Specification
Applications are welcomed from experienced Commercial Property Solicitors who are comfortable working autonomously and contributing at a senior level.
To be successful in this Commercial Property Solicitor job, you will demonstrate:
- Admission as a Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE
- Strong experience handling a broad range of commercial property matters
- Proven ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision
- Experience supervising or supporting colleagues (desirable)
- Strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient, well-organised and able to manage competing deadlines
- A proactive, collaborative and professional approach
- Confidence using case management systems and modern IT applications
