Eventus Legal are seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 5 years’ PQE or more to join a highly regarded multi-service and multi-site law firm in their Northampton office in Northamptonshire. This full time, permanent job offers a salary of £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience and hybrid working with two days from home each week. You will have considerable autonomy across a varied commercial and civil litigation caseload, alongside opportunities to contribute to business development. Role Responsibilities

As a Commercial Litigation Solicitor in Northampton, you will manage matters from initial instruction through to completion, providing clear, practical advice and maintaining strong client relationships with support from dedicated paralegals within the department.

Your caseload will be truly varied and include but not be limited to: director and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, contentious probate, debt recovery matters, property litigation, landlord and tenant disputes, defamation disputes and repossession matters.

Alongside managing these files, your responsibilities will include:

• Advising clients face to face and by telephone, providing accessible advice tailored to their circumstances.
• Managing correspondence with clients, instructed agents and other third parties.
• Working with the Head of Department and attending external appointments when required.
• Developing new business through networking, cross-selling opportunities and promoting the firm.
• Maintaining compliance with the firm’s procedures and completing relevant training.

Person Specification

The Commercial Litigation will bring substantial commercial litigation experience and the confidence to take responsibility for their own caseload. You should be able to demonstrate the following:

• A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
• A strong academic background.
• Experience in commercial litigation and civil litigation generally.
• Proven ability to manage cases from initial instruction to completion.
• Strong client care skills, with experience advising clients in person and by telephone.
• The ability to work autonomously while supporting colleagues within the team.
• A willingness to contribute to business development and networking activities.
