Eventus Legal are seeking a Litigation Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE to join a well-established law firm in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The Litigation Solicitor will join an approachable and collaborative team and handle a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes.

Role Responsibilities

• This Litigation Solicitor job offers broad exposure across civil and commercial litigation, with responsibility for managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion with appropriate supervision. Key responsibilities will include:
• Managing a varied caseload including contractual disputes, debt recovery and enforcement proceedings, property and boundary disputes, professional negligence claims, company and partnership disputes, and contested probate claims
• Advising clients clearly and pragmatically on litigation strategy, risk and available options
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, correspondence and other litigation documents
• Representing clients in court where appropriate and during settlement negotiations
• Using alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and negotiation, to pursue effective outcomes
• Keeping clients regularly updated on progress and managing expectations throughout their matter
• Maintaining accurate time recording and billing in line with firm procedures and meeting agreed chargeable hours and billing targets
• Building strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations
• Supporting and mentoring support staff to help maintain effective teamwork and service standards
• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the litigation department
• Keeping up to date with relevant legal developments and changes in litigation practice

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from experienced solicitors who can manage a busy caseload independently while contributing positively to a collaborative litigation team in Leamington Spa. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

At least 3 years' PQE as a Solicitor with relevant litigation experience

• Strong advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to client care
• A proactive, practical and solution-focused approach to contentious matters
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining close attention to detail
• A confident, friendly and professional manner
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A genuine interest in contributing to the development and growth of the department
