Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Fee Earner to join a growing and forward thinking law firm in Macclesfield. Job Responsibilities
As the Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner, you will be responsible for managing a quality caseload of clinical negligence matters from initial instruction through to settlement and, where necessary, trial. Day-to-day responsibilities in this Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner job include:
- Running clinical negligence claims autonomously from inception to conclusion
- Managing claims involving medical misdiagnosis, surgical negligence, prescription and medication errors, and dental negligence
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other court documentation
- Complying with court directions and preparing cases for trial
- Liaising with clients, counsel, medical experts, and defendant solicitors
- Maintaining excellent client care throughout the lifecycle of each claim
- Using a case management system to progress files efficiently
- Ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines
Person Specification
The successful Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Fee Earner will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage cases with minimal supervision. To succeed in this role, you must show:
- Qualification as a Solicitor or equivalent Fee Earner
- A minimum of 2 years’ PQE or equivalent experience in clinical negligence
- Experience running clinical negligence matters from inception to trial
- Strong knowledge of medical and dental negligence claims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High standards of client care
- Confidence using IT systems and case management software (Proclaim experience desirable but not essential)
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
